About the Olympiad
The SNU-SM Universe AI Olympiad is a prestigious global competition aimed at discovering and nurturing talent with artistic creativity and critical thinking skills for the AI era. Jointly hosted by Seoul National University (SNU) and SM Universe, this event brings together young innovators to push the boundaries of AI and creativity.
- Objective: Identify and support individuals with exceptional creativity and AI-driven problem-solving abilities.
- Eligibility: Open to students and young innovators worldwide.
- Certificates: All participants and winners receive certificates from SNU and SM Universe.
Competition Process
- Online Competition (July 1-10, 2025): Participants from around the world compete in an online phase, tackling challenges that blend AI technology and creative problem-solving.
- Selection: Top performers are selected to attend an exclusive in-person AI camp at Seoul National University in Seoul, South Korea.
- In-Person AI Camp (August 1-7, 2025): Held at SNU, the camp features intensive workshops on advanced AI tools, hands-on training, and collaborative team projects. Participants work under the guidance of SNU faculty and industry experts to develop innovative AI-driven solutions.
- Team Projects: Camp attendees form teams to create projects that integrate AI with artistic and creative applications, competing for top honors.
- Awards Ceremony: Outstanding teams receive awards, and all participants are awarded certificates from SNU and SM Universe.
SNU AI Camp Experience
The in-person AI camp at Seoul National University is a transformative experience, designed to mirror leading AI educational programs. Participants engage in:
- Workshops: Learn cutting-edge AI tools and techniques from SNU professors and industry leaders.
- Team Collaboration: Work in diverse teams to solve real-world problems using AI, fostering creativity and innovation.

The camp culminates in a showcase where teams present their projects to a panel of judges, with top teams earning prestigious awards.
